Dance Recital and Sick Boy

We had a very busy day today.  Sally's dance recital was at 11:00 am and Chloe's recital was at 1:00 pm.

Then there was the dedication of the Miracle Field at Bennet Park involving various important people like Grammie, Harmon Killebrew, the General Manager of the Minnesota Twins...and others like that.

Steve made it to Sally's recital but unfortunately Chaucer was very sick and he didn't make it back for Chloes.  When Chloe and I got home, I ran Chaucer up to the minute clinic to be tested POSITIVE for strep for the FOURTH OR FIFTH time since February!

Steve had dropped Chloe off with Grammie while I had Chaucer and Sally at the clinic.  When we got home, Steve biked with Sally in the Burley to the celebration.

Since Chaucer was sick,

We made pizza and this fort

And watched this movie.

When the girls came home, Chloe packed her bag and went to spend the night with Grammie and Grandad.  Sally snuggled in with Chaucer and me, and fell sound asleep.  It was dreamy!!!

Big Day

Today was a big day for everyone.  Steve went to Seattle for a big meeting.

The second graders had WACKY HAIR DAY!

Chaucer had a soccer game.  I didn't get pictures tonight.  I actually havent gotten many because we usually (every time so far) bike there and not much room to carry the camera.  Although tonight I took the burley because we had to take drinks and treats for the team and I could have taken it.  He was tired but had a great time playing.

And Sweet Sally had her last day of preschool.  She felt so proud to take her teachers flowers on the last day.

And Mommy?  Well, she watched her  last baby walk the stepping stones in the garden at the preschool for the very last time.

Yes, it was a very big day.
